MPhasis(up 0.61 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.5 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 0.42 per cent), HCL Technologies(up 0.41 per cent) and Wipro(up 0.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology(down 0.86 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.17 per cent at 30487.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.75 points at 19541.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 86.5 points at 65807.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato, Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Birla Cable, Hindprakash Industri, Universal Cable, Mahindra EPC and Patel Integrat hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Synoptics Technologi, SITI Networks, BKM Industries, Godha Cabcon & Insul and CMI Ltd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
